Real Wedding: Wertz-Rice

As You Wish bride and groom Andrea and Paul wanted their wedding to be rustic, elegant, and fun! We at As You Wish had the absolute pleasure of bringing their unique vision to life!

The bride and her bridal party started the magical day by getting primped and pampered by the talented artists and stylists from Elan Make-up Studio at The Crescent hotel. The girls had a wonderful time  and were ready for the nuptials!

Upon arrival at Arlington Hall at Lee Park, the guests were welcomed with a piano performance by a freind of the family as they walked through the beautiful foyer and made their way to the ceremony site outside. The ceremony began just as the sun set and the musicians of Forte Strings started their performance. The bee lights hanging from the vaulted ceiling twinkled in the beautifully decorated tent, set up by Mike Sandone Productions, which made for a breathtaking sight and the perfect romantic setting for the ceremony.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds, family, and friends alike made their way to the cocktail hour and reception where they were awed by the outstanding floral designs all throughout the venue, expertly created by Bella Flora. After the guests enjoyed their delicious food from Food, Glorious Food, the party began! Emerald City Band had everyone on their feet dancing while John of John Cain Photography captured all the fun. Panini cakes wow’d the crowd with freshly baked cupcakes and a tasty cake.

To end the sweet and unforgettable night, bubbles filled the air as Paul and Andrea, now husband and wife, made their grand exit, taken away by a specialty Bentley car, provided by Blue Diamond Limousines. A fabulous way to complete a fabulous wedding!

Sethi Proposal

Vipin Sethi pulled out all the stops to ask his one true love, Ria Sharma, to marry him. We at As You Wish Events loved helping Vipin plan his intricately detailed and over-the-top romantic proposal!

The surprise-filled night started as Ria was picked up at her home by a white limo, of Premier Transportation. As she arrived at The Stoneleigh Hotel, she was greeted with a glass of champagne and a note to continue to the Penthouse level. Upon arrival, she received another note, explaining to follow the arrows to the penthouse terrace. All the while, Vipin is awaiting his bride-to-be, surrounded by beautiful flowers and candles, adorned by Bella Flora, and by beautiful music, performed by the talented musicians of Serenata Strings, and the perfect lighting for the scene by Beyond Lighting. As the song, “I Knew I Loved You” played, hidden cameras captured the moment Vipin proposed to Ria. Sarah Kate, of Sarah Kate Photography, shot the sweet moments that followed as the couple celebrated.

The surprises did not end there. Unknown to Ria, Vipin’s and Ria’s families were anxiously waiting to congratulate the newly engaged couple. In the salon room, the family shared a meal sitting at the most romantic table ever…a heart shaped table! Posh Couture Rentals and Big D Rentals expertly set the mood for an unforgettable night. Congratulations to AYW couple Ria and Vipin! We are so excited for what’s next…

Real Wedding: Johnson-McLamb

We’ve been waiting with bated breath to see the photos of this out-of-a-dream October wedding since the moment this sweet AYW couple said “I do.” We knew it early on in the journey of planning and designing this outdoor Fall soiree: Taylor and Chris’ celebration would be an evening to remember.

Guests were driven from the Lovers Lane United Methodist Church ceremony to Downton Dallas’ Nasher Sculpture Center. In the heart of the big city, this coveted sculpture garden venue was the perfect location for Taylor and Chris’ families to entertain their beloved guests. During the cocktail hour, a jazz band played whiled guests sipped on signature drinks- complete with customized stir sticks and beverage napkins adorned with the couple’s monogram, designed by Southern Fried Paper. Upon the happy couple’s entrance, the party found their escort cards tied with dainty twine to a stunning boxwood trellis wall display. Dinner tables were decked with bright, bold linen and statement centerpieces full of unexpected texture and pastel blooms thanks to Bella Acento and Bella Flora. The bridal party took their seats at a jaw-droppingly gorgeous farmstead-style head table; topped with a floral garland runner and lovely blue china. The guests of honor, Taylor and Chris, found their chairs draped in free-form greenery with “Mr.” and “Mrs.” chair back signage. Swanky lounge furniture surrounded an all-white dance floor, and everyone danced under sparkly string lights to an epic performance by band, Signed, Sealed, Delivered. The cake, created by Panini Bakery, was (almost) too pretty to eat. At the end of a fabulous evening spent under the stars, custom favor boxes of Godiva chocolate were picked up by each guest after they said farewell to the newlyweds with waving ribbon wands.

Needless to say, these images (captured beautifully by Jennifer Yarbro) have us all kinds of “heart eyes,” and we’re pretty sure they’ll have you gushing, too. Take a look at this sneak peek preview and check back on our Facebook page later this week for a complete album of all the prettiness!

Real Wedding: Seaton – Embry

We’re (at the edge of our desk chairs) excited to share this majorly pretty real wedding with you! From the get go, our precious AYW bride, Sara, hoped her vows and the celebration that followed would evoke a certain aesthetic: organic elegance + simple romance. Sara and Austin’s September wedding was all of the things- meaningful, sweet, painstakingly gorgeous, fun, and indeed… full of organic whimsy, simple elegance, and dazzling romance. The pair said “I do” before two hundred and some of their beloved friends and family at Royal Lane Baptist Church’s altar and then rode to downtown Dallas staple, the Dallas Museum of Art, for an evening full of merriment.

The reception’s decor turned out absolutely stunning. A handful of our favorite design details: a farmstead-style head table, complete with billowing greenery and tall, full floral arrangements of crisp white + green blooms courtesy of Bella Flora; cool and chic ghost chairs provided by Bella Acento, accompanying a mix of round and square dining tables for guest seating; a simplistic, bright cake by Panini Bakery, adorned with dainty sprigs of greenery; and, those sparkling, sea foam bridesmaid’s gowns- perfect! Take a look at the top-notch photographs below, thanks to the talented Heather Hawkins, and be sure to check back on our Facebook page later this week for a full album from Sara + Austin’s soiree!

Real Wedding: Nikaidoh-White

We were feeling all the sweet, romance-inspired, lovey-dovey, walking-on-a-cloud feels when we opened the photo gallery of images from our recent As You Wish wedding at the Dallas Museum of Art. (The rooftop first look photos…swoon!) Amy Karp expertly captured this precious couple’s love for one another and the artistic, sophisticated details that served as a backdrop to their unfolding love story on the day of their wedding.

Our bride, Kimi, is a renowned ballerina and dance professional, so clearly, she has an aptitude for creative expression. The DMA was the perfect setting for this modern, artsy-elegant event. Dr. Delphinium created clean, tropical-inspired floral installations that stood boldly upon mismatched, patterned black and white table linens. To offset the varying black and white patterns of the table tops, color splashed napkins added a lively touch to each place setting. Add in stellar food, a room full of guests who aren’t afraid of the dance floor, and one handsome bride and groom duo to this wedding design mix… we had a magical evening! Check back on our Facebook page later this week for more awe-inspiring pictures!

Real Wedding: Bangs-Hayes

A timeless color palette, an elegant ballroom, romantic lighting, and a hopelessly-in-love Bride and Groom- Valerie and Bryan’s Ritz-Carlton soiree was dashing and dreamy. The tone for the weekend’s festivities was set upon guests’ checking in to their hotel accommodations. The As You Wish team assembled and delivered welcome boxes packed full of Texas-appropriate drinks and snacks and a personal note from the Bride and Groom. The couple’s custom-designed monogram was stunning; it stamped their invitation suite and day-of paper products, and was beautifully projected onto the reception dance floor thanks to Absolute Entertainment. Garden Gate constructed grandeur floral arrangements that decked reception tables with ivory, white, and blush blooms and complementary greenery. The cake, adorned with dainty, hand-placed fondant flowers was expertly crafted by Panini Bakery. And, of course, we’re grateful to f8 Studio‘s Gary Donihoo for capturing all the magic on camera! Enjoy this sneak peak of exclusive photographs, and be sure to check back on our Facebook page later this week for the full album from this event!

Real Wedding: Mahasneh-Al-Obaidi

Dallas’ Rosewood Crescent Hotel is undoubtedly one of our most-loved settings for wedding celebrations, and with good reason! The outdoor courtyard is a bridal dream for afternoon and evening ceremonies alike. It was a picturesque backdrop for this week’s As You Wish real wedding, showcasing a (stunningly gorgeous) bride and her groom. Their lovely garden ceremony took place on a sunny, Sunday afternoon, and was followed by a stylish reception in the hotel’s trendy Crescent Club. Enjoy these images, beautifully captured by Andrea Polito Photography- we can’t get over this couple’s sophistication and charm! Their full photo album will be up on our Facebook page later this week!

Real Wedding: Pantuso-Schaible Reception

Last week, we shared images of our sweet As You Wish bride, Ashley’s, rooftop ceremony at The Wyly Theatre. After the ceremony, guests rode elevators down to an awe-inducing reception space. Bright, pink Bella Flora blooms brought bold color to each table top; trendy lounge furniture complemented cross back dining chairs; and an out-of-this-world head table lighting installation of Edison bulbs and geometric vases boasted modern sophistication. To continue with the incorporation of flight-themed details, airport codes took the place of table numbers (home base, DFW, identified the head table) and each guest’s menu card was displayed in a sleek, black luggage tag. The sunken, lit dance floor- and Andy Austin’s top-notch DJ’ing- ushered guests into an evening of dancing and good fun. We hope you enjoy the details from this celebration as much as we have! A big thanks to Carter Rose of f8 Studio for capturing all this gorgeous- check our Facebook page for the full photo album from this epic event!

Real Wedding: Pantuso-Schaible Ceremony

If we had to put our finger on a single word to describe the design of this week’s As You Wish real wedding, it’d be originality. Bride, Ashley, had a flair for things creative, modern, and out of the ordinary and thus, Dallas’ Wyly Theater provided the perfect backdrop for this b-e-a-utiful celebration. Awe-inducing floral and lighting installations, provided by Bella Flora, brought lead planner and designer, Rachel Burt’s, vision to life. This wedding was so jam-packed with pretty, we couldn’t fit it all in a single blog post. So today, we’re sharing images- perfectly captured by Carter Rose of f8 Studio- of Ashley and Jason’s ceremony. Be sure to click your way back to the blog next week to see the equally gorgeous photos from their reception!

The wedding took place on July 11th (7/11) so, naturally, 7/11 Slurpees were in order for the bridal party!

The celebration would have been incomplete without Ashley and Jason’s beloved Bull Terrier pup.. how cute is that floral collar?!

With a pilot groom, it was most fitting to substitute a flight logbook for a traditional guestbook!

Real Wedding: Spring Hindu-Catholic Wedding

Last week, we shared the first round of photos from one of our all-time favorite wedding weekends to date, kicked off by a fabulous Sangeet party. The multicultural + multiple-day long celebration that took place last Spring, beautifully designed and planned by As You Wish lead planner, Rachel Burt, was memorable in more ways than one.  Unforgettable moments include: a Lamborghini driven INTO the Fairmont hotel by the Groom; the Bride and Groom’s first dance complete with a fireworks display; and the crowd of guests viewing a same-day edit film (created by none other than Hakim Sons Films) of the festivities at the conclusion of the reception. An expert team of vendors brought their A-game to pull off a soiree that was jaw-droppingly gorgeous in terms of design, meticulously executed, and… so. fun.

We’re endlessly thankful to: Bella Flora for bringing our design vision to life with whimsical, elegant, and garden-esque florals that transformed The Fairmont ballroom into a thing of ethereal beauty; Southern Fried Paper and Nicole Black calligraphy for stunning paper products and hand lettering; the JenXFaces team for enhancing the beauty of an already-gorgeous Bride and her bridal party; Jordan Kahn Band and DJ Riz for top-notch entertainment throughout the entirety of the weekend; Pyrotecnico for wow-worthy fireworks displays; Fancy Cakes by Lauren for her handcrafted and beautiful cakes; Hakim Sons Films for their cinematography magic; and finally, Edmonson Weddings for capturing these moments on camera so beautifully! Enjoy this sneak preview of stunning images and stay tuned for the full photo album to go live on our Facebook page later this week!
