As You Wish Exclusive: Giving Thanks

In the spirit of the fast-approaching holiday season, we’ve been reflecting on our recent months… packed full of beautifully unique weddings, incredible partners within the industry who have helped to bring our wedding-design dreams to fruition, supportive family members and friends, and clients who have trusted us with their most special day- making it possible for us to do what we love. Our hearts swell with gratitude! We so adore this time of year!

We put together a little inspiration page of colors, decor elements, blooms, and the like that we’re crushing on right now. Grab yourself a piping hot cup of your beverage of choice and enjoy…

Wishing you a very happy holiday season of fully bellies + full hearts! XOXO, the As You Wish team

Color Crush: Ocean Blues

This week’s color crush has us dreaming of little umbrellas in our cocktails and white sand between our toes!  To create for ourselves a (virtual) break from this sweltering Texas heat, we’ve put together a little summer wedding inspiration… our muse: the Great Blue Sea.

In the same way that we can’t turn down a view that involves strikingly clear waters, we’re head over heels for the aqua and turquoise tones that compose an ocean blue wedding design scheme. A serene mix of blue in your ceremony and reception décor gives your guests the notion that they’ve come for a romantic weekend escape.

Be as bold as you’d like with bright blue jewel tones like cobalt and cerulean, or keep it breezy with soft, muted azure shades. There are various ways, significant and subtle, to incorporate ocean blues into your color palette. The possibilities are as limitless as the sea itself!

We’ve put together a paradise-inspired design page, so grab a little umbrella for your drink and take a look!

Real Wedding: Allen – Joseph Wedding

We are so excited to share this very special backyard wedding with you! Amberly and Anthony were high school sweethearts who grew apart after graduation but then reconnected and rekindled their romance some years later! We just love a happy ending!

One of the couples’ many interests includes flipping houses, which led them to purchase and remodel their home in Dallas. Since it held so many special memories for them, they couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else!

Rachel and the As you wish… team were able to create an Inspiration Page for their wedding that enhanced the natural beauty of the couple’s backyard and captured a soft and romantic “garden party” feel.

Take a look at how we turned this vision into a reality…

If you are envisioning a spectacular backyard wedding, give As you wish… a call! We LOVE taking the comfort of a home and enhancing it to create the perfect space for your ceremony and reception. Check back this week on our Facebook page to see the rest of the pictures from this beautiful wedding!

Real Wedding: Gallien – Bolden Wedding

One of the best parts of booking a Designer Package with As you wish… is that we create a custom Inspiration Board based on the bride’s individual style and design preferences. We then use this design tool as a reference throughout the planning process to ensure that every decision that we make, along with each vendor that we book, is in line with the original vision for the wedding.

We wanted to begin sharing some of these Inspiration Boards with you as we post our recent Real Weddings so that you can see the entire design process–from the initial vision to the actual executed event!

Sharell Gallien and Brian Bolden wanted something bold and elegant for their Fall wedding and this deep eggplant and rich copper color palette was exactly what they were looking for.

The ceremony and reception both took place at the historic Old Red Museum in Downtown Dallas and John Christopher Photographs captured each and every detail of the day perfectly!

The team at Branching Out created a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony with organza fabric draping and small floral bundles that tied in the wedding colors perfectly.

LeForce Entertainment did a great job of creating cozy ambiance with the purple-hued lighting throughout the reception and Sharell and Brian had personalized shot glasses made to commemorate the event and gave them out as favors to each of their guests.

These detail shots provide a close-up look at each place setting with custom menu cards and place cards that coordinated with the entire design perfectly.

Fancy Cakes by Lauren created TWO amazing cakes for Brian and Sharell’s big day–a stunning square-tiered bride’s cake with gold accents and a special tribute to Brian’s college team and his favorite tailgating drinks with the groom’s cake.
